ACME Starter Kit - Athletic Girl

The aim of the ACME Starter Kit project is to provide Simmers with full ready-to-go medieval wardrobes for a variety of bodyshapes, and several classes of Sim, as well as creating a bodyshape mesh library of some of the most common medieval outfits for folks to make their own conversions and recolors as they like.

This particular Starter Kit is designed for the Athletic Girl, originally created by Marvine at Insimenator. Our separate skintone upload has all necessary showerproof meshes, to allow your sim to hold their shape, and to avoid floating heads in the shower.

We have created 4 full sets of clothing, Teen-Elder, with 5 recolors per outfit, using Shadowfell’s natural dye actions and some of our favorite outfits and meshes. There is also a brand-new mesh, the Short Chemise, that Spider has created just for these sets. These wardrobes should be suitable for peasants, merchants, nobles, and royalty, both in design and color (although we make no claim to historical accuracy). All outfits have fat and pregnancy morphs (even teens) and are enabled to be used as maternity wear, if you are using something like Boiling Oil’s Plan Maternity Outfit mod or a “Wear Any Outfit” mod.

To help with the bulk, we have also made a Maxis-size set of outfits for adults, and repositoried all other adult and teen outfits to them. This can bring a file size down from often as much as 1000 KB to just 4 KB (less after compressorizing).

You MUST have the base Maxis-size outfits for the rest of the sets to work.

Our four classes each have their own color scheme, based on what things Rugs knows about dye in the middle ages (onion and iron were dirt cheap, alum was pricey, and cochineal was impossibly expensive), as well as some educated (and often uneducated) guesses. We decided to use Almighty Hat’s color scheme for linen textures, as well. Here are the color swatches, below:





A special note about the meshes: We have made many small edits to a good number of them to spruce them up (mostly static cling issues with pregnancy morphs) and we have included them in the various download folders to make sure you are using the same version of the mesh that these clothes were designed for. There are also some new conversions included. Names have been changed, so you will need to remove the old versions first.

Everything is compressorized, repositoried, townified, maternity-enabled, BSOK’ed, tooltipped, and labelled within an inch of its life. We have put the names of the meshes used in the tooltip, so it can be found if needed using SimPe or testingcheats.

Peasant – Sunni’s Feast Day Dress on Tiggerypum’s Medieval Layered Mesh

Patterned cloth and a leather under-bodice help spruce up this dress for that special occasion. Binned as Casual, Formal and Maternity.

Merchant – Almighty Hat’s Front-Laced Lady on Iamliz13’s Medieval Alpha Dress

A front-laced kirtle put together by Hat. Simple, yet elegant, any merchant woman would be proud to be seen wearing this. Binned as Casual, Formal and Maternity.

Rugs took Sherahbim’s Fairytale underdress and put her Heart of the Forest overdress on top of it to create a new look for your nobles. Binned as Casual, Formal and Maternity.

Royal – Sherahbim’s Camelot with Ann’s Flax Underdress on GARA’s Dress08 Mesh

Rather than try to match colors with the original gold underdress, we have used Ann’s lovely flax texture from these recolor sets. Binned as Casual, Formal and Maternity.

Athleticwear Outfits on Tiggerypum’s Alpha Tunic Mesh

All athletic outfits use Tig’s Alpha Tunic mesh, converted to AF and TF by Spider. Cynnix originally did an AF/TF conversion of this, but we failed to find it in our original search-through, so this is a new mesh. (Oops!). We apologize for the mix-up. The outfits have different textures for each class, originally by alexasrosa. Royal belt textures came from maya40’s lovely texture stash that she shared. Binned as Athletic and Maternity, only.

Underwear Outfits on CelestialSpider’s Short Chemise with Aligeth Sleeves

All of these outfits are on Spider’s new mesh, a short chemise with stockings and garters, whose textures were lovingly borrowed from Almighty Hat, who inspired this, but with long sleeves, taken from Aligeth’s mesh, and the neckline and linen textures are from Sunni’s chemise recolors. These are all similar except for the colors of the stockings and garters, and the “age” of the linens. Royal linens are ACYL Milk, nobles have Aelia’s Eco Ecru, merchants wear ACYL Oyster, and peasants get Eco Vanilla. Timebomb just seemed too white. Binned as Underwear, Sleepwear, and Maternity.

Sleepwear Outfits on Aligeth’s Chemise Mesh

Here we found it hard to distinguish enough between classes, so we have made an upper-class and a lower-class version of this chemise. Both are on Aligeth’s chemise mesh, but the upper class retains the original texture and neckline by Aligeth, while the lower class version uses Sunni’s chemise in one of the rougher linen textures. Both styles have all 8 colors of linen included. Binned as Sleepwear, Underwear, and Maternity.
